Book reading Saleem Al Beik

Join us on the 10th of February for a special evening with the Palestinian writer Saleem Al Beik.
The writer will read selected parts of his book “Two Tickets to Saffuriyah” in Arabic and German and that will be followed by a discussion session with the writer.

Saleem Albeik,

A Palestinian from Tarshiha and the Palestinian camps in Syria.He lives in Toulouse, France. He is the author of:

1. The novel two Tickets to Saffuriyah 2017 – of which the project won AFAC grant
2. The poetry collection Nothing On You But Water 2015
3. The short story collection, Cherries, or Red Fruit for Cheesecake 2011 – which won the Qattan Foundation Young Writer Award The prose collection, Sins of a Refugee 2008.

Albeik edits the cultural magazine, Romman, and writes essays, criticism and film reviews. He is writing a novel in which the project won Al Mawred Al Thaqafy and Ettijahat- Independent Culture grants.
